She has a plan.
So our TV editor, Amber, is out sick today. Sucks to be her, but not to be me, cause she was going to go to a Battlestar Galactica press party tonight at the Morgan Library, and now I get to go in her stead.

I had decided not to borrow the screener disks for the new season, since I figured I could wait til April. But I love this crazy spaceships-and-talking-robots show, for its political mindfulness and hot space cowboys both. And while a big network event will be undoubtedly crowded and corporate ... I can't say no. Besides, all that's left for me to do at work is pack up my desk.

Oh shit, my face is still sunburned from skiing. I may meet Jamie Bamber or Michael Trucco looking like a nine-year-old after the first week of Girl Scout Camp. Well that's lovely.

I'm so jealous I can hardly speak. Take pictures with your phone if you get near the Bamber!

God knows it'll probably end up being all press conference and unwanted spoilers (LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU). But I will pour one out for my homies if I see someone pretty.

Both Kat and Dan are Sackhoff-minded, who I almost forgot about. Weird to tell her about a girlcrush? Too much?

I agree it might be weird to say "Why are you not a lesbian icon of Etheridgian proportions," as TiFaux Dan once wondered. But I'm sure there's nothing wrong with "OMG I LOVE YOUUUUUUU. And so does my friend Kat and my roommate and this other fella..."

regarding attractive sunburn - i bought some of that mineral powder foundation that some drug store cosmetic company just came out with (cover girl?) and discovered quite accidentally that it is killer at covering sunburn. none of that flaky makeup buildup that screams "look at me! i'm covering up my sun burn!"

am wondering at what point i will become a grown up and remember to apply sunscreen prior to engaging in outdoor activities. hopefully before it becomes an issue of child abuse.

It may be too late, but I suggest leaving the sash at home. And don't offer him cookies
